CS, I totally agree with all you said. I do cry tears of compassion for our soldiers as the other's do. I cried a lot for 9/11 too. I experienced survivor's guilt for them. When the invasion in Iraq began, I didn't sleep at night, staying up watching FOX news follow our troops into action and I prayed unceasingly for you all. I admit sometimes I can't even watch the news anymore. But I know everything you said is true. You are doing an important work. I hate it when the liberal news media complain about how much money is spent in Iraq (instead of on their pork programs) as if the money is only going to bombs and bullets. They don't talk about the good our troops are doing just as you listed above. They don't talk about the people who are getting better lives because of you.
I hope you don't mind, Christian Soldier, if I've adopted you as my representative for the troops. By adding a personal name to my prayers it helps me know better how to word my prayers for the rest of our soldiers. Blessings in Christ to you, CS and all the soldiers who are standing in the face of danger every day for us.
Sorry if this got emotional. But I don't take this subject lightly. Your Fiance is lovely, BTW. I pray for you both.
