Hi Marsh, Cool idea! A mysterious document, representative of scripture, being hunted down by wizards. Good sensory description in the first paragraph. I was not quite sure where I was in the opening sentences. I actually thought you were creating a school room setting with the bell ringing at the end of class.  Flash fiction is tough to write (I've been working in this medium, too). You have to accomplish so much with so little. My gestalt is that you're going somewhere cool with this milieu, but I'd like to know more by its conclusion. I'd like more of the conflict to be resolved. Perhaps this could be the start of a longer piece?? I enjoyed reading this piece! |
