I've decided to organize a Character Blog Tour on my blog this summer. I have 25 slots available, and participants do not need to be published. All you need is an MC to do the talkin'. The guest post can be about whatever you want as long as your MC is involved. Potential Ideas: You interview your MC, or vice versa MC writes a post about something that concerns them MC babbles on about your writing habits You and the MC get in a debate about some menial subject MC has a million dollars, what do they do? MC just wants to brag about your upcoming release The possibilities are endless. Be creative! These can be funny or serious, long or short--you're welcome to host a giveaway. Whatever your MC needs to get out of their system! My blog is faithhopeandsuspense.blogspot.com, so you can check it out. If you and your MC want to participate, just respond here and we'll get you scheduled!

Oh boy! I'm interested, very interested.
The only question I have is this: I'm not published, and if I enter this, I'll be "published." (Right?) And then I'm not eligible for certain contests and such. So, what are those contests, and do I need to think hard about this?

Walden: how's July 5th?
Choosy: In doing this, you are not considered published and it will not affect those contests. It's just a blog post that includes your MC somehow. If you're interested, how about July 28th?
If you accept, I'll just need the post, along with a pic/short bio of you, by the Friday before your scheduled post. You email it all to me at raleneburke at yahoo dot com

If any of you are schedule to be (or have been) published with Grace Bridges, check with her first. Her and I have been working out some posts for various writers.

This sounds like fun. I'll have to see how busy I am this summer (just picked up a monthly writing gig). I'll let you know when I know

I can do July 5th. Choosy: In doing this, you are not considered published and it will not affect those contests. It's just a blog post that includes your MC somehow. That's good. I was kind of worried about that too.

I'll accept if the 28th is still open.
Somehow I'd gotten the idea that this was this month. But that gives me more time to type it up!
So, yeah, if you still have the spot, I'm...something. I'd sure like it.

Oh, and is there a post length cut-off? I just looked at my first draft. It's long. I'm sure I can shorten it a bit, but what should I aim for?

The length should be about 500-1000 words. Longer and we risk losing the readers' interest.
