First, I want to thank everyone who has been praying for my family ever since my husband was let go from the church we were ministering at a couple months ago. You have no idea what your prayers have meant to us! Just to update you on what is going on, we will be church planting. Yeah, scary, right? To find out more, I wrote about our adventure on my blog today: morganlbusse.wordpress.comThank you my friends!

Continuing to pray for you and your family, morwena. And for the church planting -- exciting, scary, but so awesome to watch how God works when we rely completely on Him! An adventure indeed!

Thank you Metal I really mean it when I say I can tell people are praying for us. There have been some days where my faith is so strong and then days where I feel so weak. Then suddenly people start emailing me or facebooking me to encourage me. I didn't tell anyone I was having a bad faith day. God knew and the prayers of people lifting my husband and I up cover us and encourage us.

Morwena;
Joining the club, eh? Good for you! I'll be praying for you.
We spent most of our Christian life in church planting, I've always felt that this calling is Downtown Christianity. When you consider that one of the darkest places on Earth is the good old USA, because we, as a nation, have turned our backs on so much Gospel light and perverted it into "comfortable human religion" it becomes obvious that there is the need.
We went out by faith (with no support or backing, just our family) whenever God opened the door. It was one of the scariest and most glorious times in our Christian lives. I faced demonic power with the mask off, we shut down a local Spiritualist church by the power of the Spirit (they couldn't call their demons anymore), and God answered by fire many times.
We literally saw signs, wonders and miracles again and again as we prayed, preached and lived out the Word in the midst of the fallen and broken ones, in one of the most demonized cities in the US. We weren't looking for Spiritual fireworks but God gave them to confirm us in our work and strengthen the faith of our converts. We needed the supernatural manifestation to survive. The signs truly do follow when we obey the great commission with all our heart in the place that God shows us to labor.
God bless your faithfulness. Be strong and very courageous, remember He is Sovereign and walks with you.

Dave, Thank you so much for your encouragement My faith has been tested and stretched more in the last few months than I can ever remember (I feel like one of those salt water taffy pullers). You're right. Most people don't realize that the US is a ripe mission field right now. There are so many people who are wandering around, lost, depressed, angry; who don't know God or His love or peace or salvation. It has taken time and God's hand on my heart to finally see that. There have been moments recently when I don't know if I have the strength or faith to help my husband with this. Its not like finding a pastorate and serving. Its a lot of praying, a lot of faith testing, a lot of sacrifice. But then God shows me the people. And it makes it worth it. Thank you again for all of you praying for us in this endeavor. You have no idea how much that means to us. I understand now why Paul constantly asked for prayer. We cannot do this on our own. We are only two people who are giving ourselves to God to do whatever He chooses. But with His help and the prayers of our brothers and sisters, we can reach our community with God's light and love. And that's a beautiful thing
