Over the summer, I’m going to be posting book reviews for various titles. Some are Science Fiction/Fantasy, others aren’t. I’ve got them set up through the end of July with plans to add others as I finish them since I have both a new Christian SF and a Horror title to read. Tentatively – Whisper a Scream – a new Christian horror novel
The rest of August is currently open.

My blog is somewhat unusual. I decided to go back to our Jewish roots and ask questions. Every notice in the Bible how people often came to Christ with a question? That's how the Jews approach the Torah and their teachers. I learned this working for a Jewish employer.
It's actually too bad more Christians don't take their tradition to heart and do the same thing. In Timothy it tells us to study the Bible and to divide the Word of God correctly.
Some of my literal translations may upset some - but you do have to go back to the Hebrew and Greek to find out what the words mean - not take the word of the translators. They didn't always get it right.
And yes, I do go off on some very odd tangents. My SF brain kicking in.

Your November series about religion in Babylon 5, Firefly, and Star Trek was interesting.
[This post contains major spoilers for Babylon 5.]
I remember that one episode in Season 1 where all the different alien religions demonstrate their ceremonies, and I remember thinking the Minbari ceremony looked and sounded like Christian Communion. Your point about Sinclair is insightful.... maybe the parallels with Communion were not coincidental. Also, Sheridan could be a Christ figure in some ways.
