I think the competing firm idea would be funny. And if it's like marketing firms I know, everybody at each place ends up working for the other place eventually. Not that angels could become demons or vice versa, but in marketing it's never long before you feel like you're working for the devil anyway...
Maybe the angelic firm is secretly using demonic freelancers to do their dirty work. And pity the demonic firm employee that is discovered consulting an angelic competitor for advice.
I like the idea of rewards and competitions, too. Sales and marketing firms often have these sales goals in which the employees all compete with one another for the prizes and spiffs and "in" with the boss. High turnover at these places, and low loyalty typically.
Fun, fun.
