Worth Living For is my novel. It's just a "short", for-fun story. (I put short in quotes, because it's not very short for me, but in the way of books, it is. Currently, it's 17,000 words. I'm thinking that it'll end up being 30,000) This post isn't asking for help (I have an awesome friend who's been helping me smooth out the ruffles). I just wanted to cheer for speculative Christian fiction. ::applauds:: This is my first speculative book, and I'm enjoying it a lot. One thing I've always loved about writing is the liberty to create your own people, your own world. Being in charge of these people's destiny - I just love it. And in speculative fiction, you really can create your own world. So my story is about a man named Nicholas Meyers. Chance (or is it destiny?) throws him into another world called Thare. In this world, he meets Natas, the head of evil. As he struggles to discover his own self worth, he's trying to understand the secrets of Thare. Where did the huge chasm come from? Why were Natas and Invard - a handsome, mysterious young man - playing tug-of-war with his life? I'm really happy with how it's turning out. If anyone would like to read it, I'd be more than happy to show you. Thank God for writing!
