“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2
Warrior angels surrounded Gloria’s Florida apartment in pairs.
Inside, the glory of the LORD Jesus filled the air like a blue fog settling down after a September rain. The awesome holiness of the LORD caused the angels to begin singing “Holy, Holy, Holy! Holy is the LORD of Hosts!” Their voices blended together in a majestic, melodious praise, crescendoing to a rumbling thunder of power and might.
An Angel named Courage swooped into the apartment, followed closely by Peace. These two often worked together.
Courage ministered to Gloria’s spirit while she prayed, encouraging her to pray through what the LORD had laid on her heart. Peace comforted her, assuring her that she would be watched over and well-taken care of.
Gloria prayed in the Spirit for several minutes, sobbing and crying while she interceded for her circumstances. Finally, after the angels ministered to her, the LORD spoke through Gloria, interpreting what she had just spoken in tongues:
“Gloria, I will be with you always. It is My will that you return to Milwaukee. I have a work for you to perform during your short time there. Does not My Word say that I will give angels charge over you? Will not they keep you in all your ways? FEAR NOT for I AM with you. I love you, my child—I long to use you to bring the old, the halt, the dying and the maimed to Me. They will come to you. I AM now drawing them by My Spirit.”

I have problems with my feet. They swell if I use them for too long. Someone told me that if I get out of my car while on a trip and walk around it a few times, it helps stop the swellin’.
I felt excited about the prospect of leavin’ Florida for awhile—there are so many other reasons why I wanted to go—but I’ll tell you about those some other time. I prayed before I left and I felt such a peace come over me—like I never felt before in my life. I felt the Holy presence of my Jesus along with such encouragement and confirmation that I was right in the center of His will. He spoke to me in such a tremendous, powerful way.
Words cannot describe the Almighty.
I was so excited and encouraged after praying that I left at midnight. And why not? I couldn’t sleep anyway!

Courage and Peace suddenly appeared to the Captain of the Hosts. “Captain of the Hosts! Trouble has appeared with a great host of imps! We must head off this attack!”
Captain of the Hosts smiled. “If Trouble only knew what he was up against, he wouldn’t even try. Go now! Gather warriors from every city along her path! I have a plan.”
Courage and Peace saluted. “Yes Sir! For the Lamb and the Redeemed!”
“For the Lamb and the Redeemed!”

In a city north of where Gloria was headed, Trouble bared his fangs at Discouragement.
Discouragement was an imp of a demon—an evil spirit who threw fiery darts at Christians every day in an attempt to get them to stop praying.
Trouble commanded Discouragement, “Do everything in your power to stop this woman! I’m sending Fear with you to keep you in line and act as a back-up.” He drooled at the thought of running the woman off the road. He envisioned the headlines in which he would have Lying Spirit prompt editors and writers of papers to falsely report.
“Ha!” Trouble laughed with glee to himself. “I will have this mudball yet! She has wreaked much havoc on our strongholds in the South. Prince of the Power of the Air in the South—LOOK OUT! Trouble’s comin’ to take over!” He cackled again: an empty, echoing laughter that faded as he flew away to view the events as they unfolded.

I was drivin’ north for several hours just praisin’ the LORD. Even though I was alone, I felt that I wasn’t. I felt like I was drivin’ and armored car—why not? The LORD Himself promised me protection.
It was almost sunrise. The eastern sky began to brighten and I meditated on the scriptures about Jacob’s “Ladder”. Then my mind began to wander. One thought led to another and soon I was thinking things like, “You’re too old to drive that far” and “Nahhh, you ain’t gonna make it” and, “What’s the use, Gloria? You’re almost out of money.” I almost blanked out for s second, and the car swerved.
My feet started swelling. So I pulled off.
I got out of my car and began walking around and around and around my car. Then out of nowhere I see these blue lights pull up. The policeman was very nice. He looked me up and down, and asked me, “What are you doing?” So I told him about my feet and how had a swelling problem and how I had to walk around my car until the swelling went down some. Finally he let me go my way.
About 20 miles down the road I had to get out of my car again and walk around the car. Again, the blue lights pulled up. The policeman walked up to me and asked, “Are you the lady who walks around her car?” I said, “I sure am.” And he says, “We know all about you!” And he let me go my way.
A few more miles down the road I sees another cop on the side of the road and as I drove by him, he turned his blue lights on to let me know he was watchin’. I’m tellin’ you, the LORD is Good!

“Captain of the Hosts! We didn’t see Trouble, but we did catch Discouragement trying to stop Gloria. After a short battle, we ran him off. We saw Fear off in the distance and we could smell Trouble just by the way they were acting. We’ve dispatched reinforcements for the remainder of the cities.”
“Well done, angels of the Host of Heaven! Keep an eye out for Fear. He has clever ways of sneaking a few shots in.”
“Yes sir!”

The evil spirits met in a barn where a satanic ritual was performed the night before. Trouble kicked Discouragement right in the wounds on his back.
“Ouch! What’d ya do that for?”
“I’m going to see that you never serve me again! I will soon be Prince of the Power of the Air of the South! Ha! I’ll have you transferred to the North where you belong!” Trouble kicked him again, this time knocking him high up out of the barn into a nearby field. Trouble felt strong in that place, where the mudballs ignorantly worshipped him.
“Spirit of Fear: Go now to this trouble-stopping woman and SCARE HER to DEATH! GO NOW!” Trouble screamed the words so strongly and evilly that Fear himself was afraid.

When I got to Chattanooga I prayed, “Lord help me through this awful city, You know I can’t have a breakdown here.” And when I got to Louisville, I prayed the same thing, and when I went though Indianapolis, I prayed the same thing. And the LORD Jesus was answering my prayers, but for some reason I took a wrong turn there in Indianapolis. So I pulled into a rest area and whipped out my map. Then these thoughts started creepin’ in. I recognized them right away as fear. So I rebuked Fear in THE Name of Jesus Christ! It was immediately gone, praise The Lord!
Just then a clean-cut young man walked up to my car and asked me if I was lost. He looked nice enough. He gave me directions as to how to get back on the highway. I said, “Thank you, young man.” I said to him, “Are you Pentecostal?” and he says, “Well, ma’am, can’t say that I’m ‘Pentecostal’.” So I answers, “Would you like to have a word of prayer with me?” and he says, “Sure, I’d like that!” And he let me go on my way. Surely he was an angel of the LORD!
+ + +
Trouble could not believe his red-stained eyes when he saw his strongman Fear come stumbling back into the barn. The other spirits backed away, knowing what trouble was like when he was really mad. Fear was all hacked up from a fierce battle he had in trying to scare Gloria to death, as he was ordered.
“B-But, my Trouble, she pr--, she prays! She used The Name!” The other spirits in the barn mumbled in fear, “The Name! The Name!” amongst themselves.
“As soon as sh-she used it, the Host of Heaven attacked from all sides—I barely escaped—“
“I DON’T CARE WHAT THE HOST OF HEAVEN DOES OR DOESN’T DO! THE POINT IS THAT YOU DIDN’T DO WHAT I SENT YOU TO DO! You’re worse than you’re puny friend Discouragement.” Trouble drew his sword. It gleamed an eerie orange-yellow glow, as at reflected his sulfurous breath. “I will TAKE YOU NOW!” As he “slaughtered” Fear—the Host of Heaven bombarded the barn from all sides.
“For the Lamb’s Name and His Redeemed!”
Thousands of demons exploded as the Host of Heaven attacked. Several dozen tried to soar out of the barn like rockets on the 4th of July, only to be caught and dispatched of. The Host was strong again!

The people in America were fervently praying again!
And so was Gloria.
