DL You'll have my story in Feb. Life intruded Oh, another thing my story challenges the "cannon" and seeks to trash one or two of the central dogma's of modern thinking about time travel. It's sort of an extension of the Theistic meta statements I used when constructing my Curatorium story Universe. I hope that doesn't get me "excommunicated" by the publishder. SGD dave

newburydaveLife always intrudes. I just finished my vamp story today which I meant to get done before I had to sub three days last week. Ah, well. Whether your story gets accepted or not depends on the editor. I haven't seen it yet nor am I familiar with the universe you created. For all: Rec'd three stories today. Will be reading and editing over the next couple of days. I do track everything on a spreadsheet so I know what I've gotten, if it's accepted/rejected, rtnd for rewrite, etc. In Him, Dana

Update : AL's story, 'Time Con', had been accepted for the antho even though I've asked for quite a bit of revision. Haven't gotten it back from the writer yet.
Have three other stories. All have been read through once. One I will be returning for a complete rewrite. It just doesn't work. The other two I will be rereading - hopefully this weekend - and returning to the authors for revision.

Kessie,
The story that didn't work I've already returned to the writer. I still have yours. Am hoping to re-read sometime this week since I needed to rest on Sat and have plans for Sunday. I had a bad head cold all last week. It was so bad I canceled tutoring so my students &/ their siblings wouldn't catch it.

Oh whew. I can do revisions much easier than a total rewrite. I hope you feel better! Everybody I know has a terrible cold right now. I think winter's tightening its grip.

Am now reading a new submission I got. Wow! The writer nailed what I was looking for and went 'outside the box'. I'm already know it will be accepted for the antho and I haven't even finished my first read through. Not to mention this is the writer's first pro submission.
I will also admit the writer has a slight advantage since she and I have done several collaborations via FFN for several years. She knows how I think.
The story needs some work but I expected that.
Publisher update. At GalaxyFest I was informed CH had finally put the open call to both anthos I'm editing, plus another, are on the website. I just double checked and they are there. So, if you are planning on submitting, please get your stories in ASAP! Folks who hang out on the Anomaly are getting first priority reads. However, I'm very familiar with many of the writers who are regular contributors for WSP, so there's going to be some tough competition!

I've received more submissions for TTC. If you've sent me a story and not heard back, please don't panic. I've had life stuff intrude and will be getting those done in the next couple of weeks.
Right now, I only know of two stories that are definitely accepted. The rest are still under consideration.
If you still thinking of sending me a story. Please do so! Deadline is the end of May.
Bye the way - if an editor rejects your story but asks you to submit another one - JUMP AT THE CHANCE! For editor to make such a request is very rare. There's a writer who has a story in Space Battles whose first submission was rejected, but she resubmitted another which the editor accepted.
Official submission guidelines for both anthos I'm editing are up on the Wolfsinger Publication site, plus one CH is editing as well.

I just finished my complete "draft" (v.08) of "Island out of Time". I've put it up on the Sandbox for crit and comment before I submit.
Sorry it took so long. Keeping it down to 6k max words was more of a challenge than I expected, I could have easily topped 10k with this story and all the detail I'd like to have added.

Dave: I had fun describing your story to my hubby. "So this guy has to go pick up his drug-addict brother before the drug den gets bombed, and drag his brother back home as his brother goes into withdrawal. Oh yeah, they're all dragons."
My hubby went, "Buh-what?"

Now that response, Kessie, was worth the midnight oil to git-er-done. ;D

Worked with two writers in my local group and they both came up with some fun ideas for this antho. Really can't wait to see what they do it.
Right now, and this is off the record, it looks like about a quarter to a third of the writers for this antho will be Christians - IF I get all the stories that are promised.

Just a couple more days until the deadline for TTC. Is there a story from anyone else I should be expecting?

mldonovan,
At least two writers from the forums did as well as at least one other from the Sandbox.
