Hey guys, I want to extend an invitation to you. I am starting an online book club with speculative fiction at its heart. I'm not sure if I'll host it on my blog (the last week of every month) or on Facebook. It all depends upon the participants and the ease of use for everyone.
Anyways, the book selection for January is Heartless by Anne Elisabeth Stengl. The plan is to read the book throughout the month and then discuss it during the final week of that month.
Let me know if any of ya'll would be interested. Thanks!

Sure, sounds like an interesting book. I can get it at the library next time I go (in January). :-)

Yea! January is here and I am excited to read and hopefully get some writing done. pauline, I've had a few people say they'd prefer off of Facebook...but perhaps we can get a consensus once we meet and then maybe I can create a page for it on Facebook or just use my author page or something...hmmmm....all new territory for me. We shall see... Thanks for the interest!

Hey guys. I don't know what I was thinking trying to run two different groups at the same time from my blog. It looks like it could get confusing so... I've created a closed group on Facebook so that nobody sees our posts except us, but I'll have to add you.

Hmm, I don't think I have time to do this... what with work, writing, kids, doing the other writing book on your blog, but I asked to join the group anyway, as I might have time to go through one in the future...
... and I love books so I might go get the book from the library if it sounds interesting enough to abandon something else for...
(I need more hours in the day... or get good enough to get paid to write and read books so I can quit the day job.... or something....)

I hear ya, yoda! Life is busy. Reading is such an important part of our professional development as writers. I hope you can get a chance to participate. And we welcome your input any time you can get around to it.
