Welcome, celesta! I'm glad you were able to weed through the cyber-murk and discover our little corner of the Speculative Fiction universe. Looking forward to getting your perspective on the chatter we have going on here. And as for the biting, if SOME people didn't keep such strange and clearly untameable pets, maybe we'd have less bandage consumption around here.

I write primarily inspirational speculative fiction. Just curious... what is inspirational speculative fiction to you? We all have our favorite terminology, I think. Personally, I don't like the word "speculative" that much; I don't think it describes the set of genres. Does "inspirational" just mean Christian, in your usage? Anyways, welcome!

Welcome! We're a pretty friendly bunch. Even those of us who are already published.
FYI - I have an open call for writers under Anomalous Readings for an anthology called, 'Time Traveling Coffers'. The publisher, who is secular, is open to Christian writers & themes. I'd love it if you'd submit a story. I know of three others on this site who will be.

I like the word inspirational. I use it to mean that my stories are good, on the side of the light. Some of my stories have subtle Christian themes, some have references to God in the story and some are simply moral tales that show truth in one way or another. To me inspirational also means honorable and perhaps happy or at least noble if not outright happy.

I don't have any yet I checked out the site. Writers don't get any payment, not even a copy of the book? I'd certainly be interested if I got a copy of the book
