Birdnerd; I can't help but think of you whenever I see anything about making a living writing, so I've got a few more links for you that I just found in the Amazon Kindle listing. www.amazon.com/Moonlighters-Online-Writing-Immediate-ebook/dp/B004VA46Q4/ref=pd_sim_kstore_7?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2Check this one out, it claims to have a listing of companies who will pay you right not for articles. $3.99 for the kindle version www.amazon.com/Blogging-For-Income-Traffic-ebook/dp/B0047GN79Y/ref=pd_sim_kstore_8?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2This one's on blogging for an income. $.099 for the kindle version. It's written by someone who's done it and claims to be a full tutorial. And finally: www.amazon.com/Kindle-Success-Formula-Generating-ebook/dp/B0075CFEF2/ref=pd_sim_kstore_5?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2This one claims to be about the keys to actually making money with Indie-ePublishing on Amazon. $2.99 for the kindle edition. I know you have some interesting books/stories on the anvil and/or out for acceptance to publishers. (Whatever happened with that one about the boy and his parrot? I really enjoyed what I read of it and wanted to see where you took it). This wouldn't be a quick fix for your employment situation but in the longer term it may help you develop a growing residual royalty income from your novels and books. I've signed up with the Amazon self publishing operation and their royalty structure for ebooks is the best in the industry, 70% for the higher ebook price points; 35% for the low end pricepoints to name two figures I saw. There are a lot of self published books in the Amazon Kindle store right now by authors who don't write anywhere near as well as you do. I'v bought a few and IMHO many of their stories are nowhere near as interesting as what I've seen you write. I'd urge you to check it out. I hate to see people, who haven't taken the time to properly learn our craft, reaping royalties on inferior products when some one like you, who has paid her "Authorial dues", is not getting the available fruits of her diligence. Remeber, our Sovereign Father's providence is guiding you and creating the way before you. He promised to give us sufficiency and add all things to us as we seek his Kingdom and his righteousness. Several times in my 64 years He has ejected me from what I thought was a comfortable place only to find that He was leading me to a wider place of usefulness and in the last case a place of safety in the current economic storm. Rest in Him and he will carry you through this time. Still praying for you. Write on Sis SGD dave

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the additional links. I'll definitely start checking these out.
Bird's Eye went on standby when Remnant in the Stars went under contract with Under the Moon. I've only gotten it halfway finished.
Wind Herding is likewise only halfway there.
Currently, I'm working through an edit of Drug War and waiting on a critique of Lines of Succession. DW is next up in my critique group (at least the first half) and LoS will be on its way to hunt for a publisher.
Thank you for the sources and for the encouragement.
(: Birdnerd
