Hi folks,
Currently we have several fires burning out of control here in Colorado. And I suspect other parts of the west as well but since local news is concentrated on CO, I haven't heard about others.
Prayers are needed for:
rain
those affected/evacuated
asthma and breathing problems because of the smoke
displaced pets - I know this sounds silly but pets are considered family and this can be hard on both humans and animals.
Anything else God leads you to pray about.
My thanks. I know so many who are being impacted by the fires, including good friends in the Colorado Springs & Manitou Springs areas.

We have a satellite church in Liberal KS. Our "Mother" church is in Colorado Springs. They told about a web site "Waldo fire, something..." I missed getting it written down, sorry. but it is a link to help evacuees match up with people who are opening their home to allow them to stay with them for a while...does that make sense? I googled it, but couldn't find the link. I'll keep looking. In the mean time, the church web site is Churchforallnations.com...if you are one who needs help of any kind, contact the church and help will be given!!!

Okay, got the site. It is: Waldofire.com and it's says: This site is place of connection between evacuees of the Waldo Canyon Fire and people willing to provide housing and other assistance to the evacuees.

Praying for all the folks impacted by this rampant fire season. Stay safe, those of you close to the blazes--or even not so close, with the way smoke travels and wreaks havoc.

KLOVE did multiple announcements today about the fires here and the flooding in Florida. There was also a national day of prayer.
Know what ? We got rain! Temps dropped from the high 90's to 60's.
What a huge blessing that was and a testament to what God can do.

Yesterday evening parts of the High Park fire area (like Ted's Place to the north) were under a flash flood warning from the rain coming down.

Some folks today are being allowed to return to their homes in the fire evac areas including many of my friends. Luckily, others who were afraid they'd be evacuated weren't. The latter includes Kevin J. Anderson and his wife.
