If you like sc-fi, go buy it. I give it 5 stars. Great characters and a great story. I could try to summarize what I love about it, but Cindy's descriptions, and especially the interviews with the characters do it really well, and no spoilers either.

Looking good over on Amazon and B&N now, by the way. I hope you've been getting some great momentum on the book. Fun times.

Dave: I hope you enjoy it! It was much fun to write.
Becky: Actually, I have no idea what sales numbers look like outside of folks who've said they've gotten it, but I'm having a grand time doing wild stuff like character interviews and so on for blogs. (:

Bird'n;
I bought my copy for my kindle. You should be able to check your sales numbers on Amazon.
Which eBook conversion SW did you use?
You tightened up the story since I saw it in the Sandbox.
It is a good read for any of you who haven't gotten it yet.

Thanks, Dave! Terri (editor) helped a whole lot.
It's not self-pub. My publisher is Under the Moon, which is the book publishing side of gaming company Final Sword Productions. I have no idea what software they used.
When I look up my sales numbers stuff on Amazon, all I see is the math problem book I self-pubbed ... which I prepped "by hand" using the style guides on Smashwords and Amazon KDP. I don't see Remnant in that list.

Oh, The reason I asked was because IMHO the formatting of the book on my Kindle didn't really do your story justice. It was readable but it didn't look to me like it was presented in a professional manner.
The Chapter heads were in the middle of the text without any page breaks, the paragraph heads were all left justified like the rest of the text so the paragraph breaks weren't always clear and there were several places where there was unexpected white space and page breaks in the middle of continuous text. The way Kindle paginates, at times there were single paragraphs at the top of a blank screen in the middle of the narrative.
I guess when you go through a publisher you get what they give you. You might want to speak to them about their .mobi or .azw ebook formatting though.
Just thought you might like the feedback.
Despite the formatting issues I still thought it was an engaging story. When are you going to publish the sequel, I can't wait to see where you take these characters, they're a great bunch.

Hmmm... I'll talk to the publisher. Thanks for letting me know.
Actually, I'm trying to finish off the first draft of Bird's Eye (the one told from the parrot's and dog's perspectives) -- it's giving me trouble, but I'm going to try to straighten it out today because I really want to get the draft done -- so I can start on the sequel to Remnant.
I have the basic sequence of events of Loudest Actions (the sequel's title-for-the-moment). I just need to scare up character arcs and a few subplots.
I'm glad you liked Remnant! (:
