I think enough time has passed, that would be Bioshock! This month is the release of Bioshock Infinite.
"...Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not..."

Gandalf in the Hobbit after Bilbo wishes him a good morning.
"Fire on the mountain shall find the harp of gold; Played to wake the Sleepers, oldest of the old"

I give up. I've tried without googling, but the temptation is becoming too great!

Here's a hint. It's two lines from a prophecy in a classic fantasy series.

“Your offer," he said, "is far too idiotic to be declined.”

"Fire on the mountain shall find the harp of gold; Played to wake the Sleepers, oldest of the old"
The Dark is Rising Sequence. I loved that series as a teen.
When the dark comes rising, six shall turn it back Three from the circle, three from the track Wood, Bronze, Iron, Fire, Water, Stone, Five will return, and one go alone.
Iron for the birthday, bronze carried long, Wood from the burning, stone out of song, Fire from the candle ring, water from the thaw. Six signs the circle, and the grail gone before.
Fire on the mountain shall find the harp of gold; Played to wake the Sleepers, oldest of the old Power from the Green Witch, lost beneath the sea. All shall find the light at last, silver on the tree.
I admit I couldn't remember the final lines of the third verse without google's help.

Nicely done Fluke!
I'm at a loss Resha, though it feels familiar I have resisted the power of google and thus cannot think of it.

"Do you expect me to talk?" asked the hero.
"No, ---. I expect you to die," replied the villain.

Yep! It was from the poem.
I don't recognize it.
