I was reading something that reminded me of two things: 1. That we all need prayer as writers. 2. That we need to serve others.
This really got to me today. So how can I pray for you, your writing or your journey as a writer this week? I think sometimes (for me at least) we think that our writing is something insignificant to God. But, it's not. God does care what we care about.

What a great message, Stormiel! Thank you. This week I need wisdom and clarity as I work on book two of my fantasy series, because I have reached a point where I don't know what happens next. Book one is in production, and book two is due March 1. So I have time, but I don't want to spend so long on this stage that I wind up shortchanging the polishing stage.

I would appreciate prayer for Book 1 of my YA science-fiction trilogy! - it's been a long journey for this story (I started writing it 8 years ago), with many, many revisions, and I finally submitted it to MLP in 2012, and was asked for the full manuscript a couple of months later. Due to an email glitch of some kind, I found out a few weeks ago that the book never reached them! But at long last, the manuscript is safely with them and I was informed that someone is reading it now. Eeek! Obviously I'm praying that it will be published, Lord willing, but most of all I'm praying that I would have peace about their response, whatever it might be. I'm also praying that their feedback is positive and gives me hope and good direction for the story's future, regardless of "yes" or "no". Prayer for patience would be appreciated too...by now I think my heart skips a beat every time I see that I have a new email.

Thank you for the prayers! Got the answer back yesterday...form rejection. I was hoping so badly for feedback. I certainly have peace about it, though, so God did answer that prayer with yes. I know from experience that when something I badly want falls through, and I have to wait a long time to see a prayer answered, it's because God has something far better on the horizon than whatever I thought would be so great!

Hey Bethany, sorry to hear that it got rejected. I was really hoping you would get published. I'm glad to hear you have peace about it though. And you're right God uses these things for our good in the end. I hope it will get published in the future, it will be cool to see your name on amazon and think, "I know who she was before she got published!" lol. Take care.
