I don't know if it's the only place to go for CSF, but I do think that a growing generation that's very eco-conscious would think printing only what is going to sell is "green" and responsible, rather than having books printed, sent out, sent back with covers ripped off, trashed.
I know my household is trying to get organic and green, conscious of water usage and lights and gas and such. While being a child of traditional bookselling in my upbringing--love browsing stores--I find I do almost all of my book purchasing online..and have for years. As long as the browsing experience online is pleasant and visually aesthetic, with excerpts to replicate the real-life browsing experience, then I'm sold.
I know that at the webzines at which I've edited, I've pushed for strictly online, against several editors who still wanted to have print copies. I think beyond POD, the future may well be all electronic. That has its good and bad points (and I'm a frustrated owner of a Sony Reader, vexed by the prices and limited availability of books). But it saves trees and warehousing expenses and gas and ink, etc. If reading can be cheaper by eliminating the resources used, and if it's available online in various or one standard format, maybe the wired generation will still read novels.

Getting back to the main topic again, how are things going Jeff? When can we expect to see some new material on the MLP website?

I'm currently waiting to hear from two folks about prices for something regarding the grand prize. When I hear back and make my decision (and my purchases) I'll get that on the site--and will send out a notice to MLP subscribers.
After that, the next updates will be things like cover art, titles and author bios, and excerpts. I'm sorry it's been so slow, but certain things have to happen before anything can be announced.
Soon, soon.

"Bated breath" doesn't really begin to cover it, I'm afraid....

Hey, I think most of us knows that publishing is a slow business. Blessings on all the different parts of the project. Mir

If you aren't registered over at www.marcherlordpress.com then you won't have gotten the news. So head on over there because I've just announced the grand prize (you'll love it) and the bonus books that will be available for free on launch day. Jeff

I can't believe the prize trove you've collected for the launch. Rest assured, I'll do everything in my power to rig this contest in my favor.
"Everything in my power" consists mostly of begging.

Hey, begging got a couple guys in the Bible in the right position to receive something better than silver or gold. You never know!

Ah, now that's a prize, for sure, but one that I'm not yet ready to give away in a random drawing!

Jeff: when you update your MLP web site, do you send an email to everyone that's signed up?
I'm asking because the last email I got from you was on 12/31 (the Launch List), and I want to get an email every time you change anything on your site!
