Yeah, I showed the covers to my wife this morning. We're both nearly speechless. This is so far and above what the other independent presses are doing... Wow.
Oh, and just for the record, I had to chuckle at the opening lines of Mitchell Bonds' Prologue. I haven't seen Scintor on here for days, but the humor really made me think of his wry wit.

Nice updates this month. When will we get a look at the other two novels, Jeff? As a cyberpunk buff the personifid invasion looks right up my alley.

The plan is to release cover art, interview, and sample chapter for The Personifid Invasion on July 1. Then on August 1 I'll plan to release all that for Summa Elvetica.
Glad you're enjoying it!

Jeff, in your news letter this month I saw you put out a plea to speak the word about WTME and MLP. An idea my friend had to help promote his comic was to design a really cool banner, something with eye catchy art that people could use in the sig files. Attached to the sig would be a link to WTME. If you make this available for download people could drop that sig in their forum posts all over the next. Free advertising! With talents like Kirk (praise to my namesake xD) Douponce within your reach, I bet you could come up with some cool sig files! Somethink like this here. Check it out by the way guys, its a good read! (Plus I edited and help write it!)

I've often heard that the entertainment business is largely recession-proof. Hollywood had its Golden Age during the Great Depression, for instance. I did a search today on the publishing industry and the recession and found this article: locusbooks.wordpress.com/2008/07/10/publishing-and-the-recession/. It's encouraging as I consider MLP's prospects. Maybe God was more involved even than I thought in leading me to create MLP according to the model I'm using. Jeff

We were in the midst of adopting and had narrowed our choices to three countries. (No, wait! This is relevant. Sort of...) We were looking at India, which had a well established program and from which a friend had adopted, The Philippines, to which we had some connection through friends, and Thailand.
God said, "Thailand." We said, "Huh?" God said, "Thailand." We said, "OK." Then 9-11 happened, and The Philippines became a hotbed of Al Quaida training camps. Then India had problems with its adoption program and several provinces closed up.
The boy from Thailand is sitting in the next room, watching The Clone Wars.

It might be relevant to MLP to check out this link. It will only be up this week, so don't delay reading it. www.drhorrible.com/plan.htmlIt is written by Joss Whedon (of Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Serenity fame), who argues for a better creative use of the Internet for writers, actors, musicians. After you have read "Master Plan" you can see the whole site by clicking on "Home" in the upper left-hand corner.

As someone who was a Browncoat before the pilot aired (fell in love with the show while reading an article in Entertainment Weekly), I can't thank you enough.

Act II is fabulous.
Not completely suitable for children, though.
