Pixy, I'm nowhere near the artist that you are, but I know what you mean about drawing helping to solidify a character. I've drawn most of my major characters just to have a frame of reference; I'm pretty visual, and it helps me describe them, etc. I've always mentally cast my books with actors and models, so it's easier to utilize mannerisms, etc. I just try to make them different enough that there are no copyright problems. Jeff, I'm going to be sending someone your way. I love the idea of an art book. Pixy's stuff better be in there....

Pixy's been personally invited...
And thanks for sending someone else my way, too.

Excellent (and not surprising) news.
And you're more than welcome. I wish I knew more Christian artists. I'm just glad that the internet makes these people available at the touch of a keypad. Amazing world-shrinker, that.

Is this going to have a "real" book option, or just an ebook?

It's going to be "just" an e-book. I'm putting it together as a bonus product for folks who purchase my real product, Marcher Lord Press novels, on Launch Day. There's no way I'm ready for the expense or hassle of putting together an oversize, full-color coffee table book in print. But electronically, it's no problem.
The only issue will be that the file size may be such that folks will have to download it in segments rather than in a single file. But it will be worth it.

Jeff Didn't mean to sound disparaging; I just like to hold a book in the hand. But I'll still get it either way.

No offense taken.
But trust me, if I were doing this in print I wouldn't be giving it away for free! LOL. I'd be charging like $50 for it, at least.

Jeff, I hope this incentive also attracts buyers, instead of just causing"already sold" folks like me to start chewing Cat 5 cable in anticipation.
Doing the art book is like sprinkling skittles on a sundae and then sealing it behind glass: nom nom nom nom donk!
Any chance you'll launch a little earlier than October 1? Say April 2?

You guys make me smile. Thanks for the encouragement! Sorry, strangewind: 10/1/08, baby. Jeff YES! It's already available then? Excellent, I'll order three books right now... Oh. You were using U.S. standard dating. I was hoping you'd gone Brit on me for a minute. 10/1/08 is January 10 across the pond... All right then. Next trick: time machine.

Obviously you DIDN'T invent a time machine because then you wouldn't be talking about inventing one, you'd be telling us what you did with it.

Did you guys see the episode of THE TICK in which a character invents a time machine in order to kidnap all the great inventors of the past (because all the great inventions have already been done)? Somehow this character overlooks the fact that the time machine is, in and of itself, a great invention.
I think of all the possibilities of a time machine, history-changing or history observing, and it literally boggles my mind. I rather liked Douglas Adams' take on it in the RESTAURANT AT THE END OF THE UNIVERSE ... go back in time in order to deposit a penny in the bank, go forward to the end of the universe, and by the nature of thousands of years of compound interest, you can then afford to pay for the meal.

www.towerwindow.com/Check out Denise Garner. Her style is exquisite. The "Temptation" piece is probably my favorite. (For the easily offended, I should note that a couple of her pieces have non-explicit artistic nudity.)

I concur. "Temptation" is rather striking.
