Hey how is everybody? There are a lot of new people posting! Thats awesome!
I haven't been on in a while, this year has been crazy. I know when i was on before i never really said anything about myself, so i figured i do that this time.
Well, i'll just say my name is Gredruin, and i'm 15 and love to read, play the guitar, and write stories. I am homeschooled and very busy. I do all the normal subjects that students take in public schools like, math, science, language arts, and history. I also however love public speaking, last month i was in my first speech tournament with my class and good friends. None of us did that good, but it was our first year. We competed in apologetics which is basically defending the faith.
just to give you an example of how hard it was, there were a hundred topics we had to write speeches on and there is one of the speech topics: Analyze and respond to the statment, "If God understands my humanity and sin nature better than i do, why does He hold me acountable for what i cannot help doing?"
Then i also bass guitar in a band called RIHP-Rest In His Presence.
And on top of all that, last summer my papa was struck with brain cancer and my cousins had a baby that...never breathed a breath.
Then just four weeks ago my papa died, my cousins mom died of brain cancer, and i'm trying to keep up with school.
Oh, i forgot, i'm the oldest of six soon to be seven. So, yeah life has been crazy. So thats me. I ask that you pray for me also, this year has been a trial like no other.

That IS a lot, and I will certainly pray for you, Greduin. Also, I was homeschooled, too, and I have never regretted it.
God bless you and your family -- CS

Welcome Gredruin! I love it when teens show an interest in something besides the mall and the latest pop craze! Keep up the outstanding work.
I will pray for you too. I work with teens a lot and one our girls lost her father last year. It can be very difficult, but God does have a purpose in all things, even if we may not understand it all right now. Believe me, even we as adults don't have all the answers. Pray, and lean on Him.

I'm so sorry to hear of your losses, Gredruin. Thank you for telling us about them.
I do hope you'll be able to come back here more often again. Dreaming up bizarre stories with like-minded friends can be very therapeutic.
Welcome back.
Jeff

Apologetics is definitely a skill. Having done evangelism and street ministry, it's a tough thing to do when you're talking to someone who may have valid, logical arguments as to why you might be certifiably insane. It definitely takes a lot of faith and prayer just not to be dragged down by them.
