Hey, just want to know if anyone here was attending the Greater Chrsitian Philadelphia Writer's Conference next week. I thought it would be fun to exchange emails and blog url's to get to know each other beforehand and try and meet in person.

Oh, I guess I should say a little something about who I am.
I've been writing and researching and rewriting the first book of a Christian fantasy trilogy for the last five years. I have an agent now, one more run through of the mss to finalize some word building stuff. The mss won a competition and included in the grand prize was a free professional critique so as soon as I get it back, I will be making the final revisions.
My agent is the one who sent me here -- she is good friends with Jeff and said that I sound just like him when I go on some of my rants, lol. (Don't quote me, but that pretty much sums it up.)
I would have joined sooner but I was busy locked in my lair finising the fourth draft.
Oohh -- and I don't have elves! But I love Tolkien and probably know every line of the extended DVD triology by heart.

Welcome, CrimsonMoon!
Who is your agent?

Rachelle.
I went on a rant once about the CBA and what I call "happy sappy Christian fiction" (say it three times fast) and about how they don't want "dark stuff" yet life is dark, etc. and she said I sound just like you.
BTW -- how did you make your CGI Knight version of yourself? Very cool.

Ah, Rachelle is great. You're in good hands with her.
For my self-portrait I used a free 3D modeling program called Daz Studio (see http://www.daz3d.com) and a free add-on called FaceShop. The latter takes a photo of a face and "wraps" it around a figure in Daz Studio.
Free is good.
