I am a fan of "near future" scifi, however, I realize it requires one to be pretty up on the latest technologies, discoveries, advances, etc. How do you all stay aware of these? FoxNews? CNN? Google? Scientific American? (Used to get that one, but not in a long time. I assume it still exists.)

I read up on things at www.livescience.com. I like it because their writers speak science geek-ese. They go out and read the real scientific journals, then translate that for the educated layman. FoxNews.com runs articles off LiveScience.com, usually about 1-2 days after it shows up on LiveScience. Jeff

Military Channel and Daily Planet. Great stuff especially for what I write. And my crazy friend, who talks about things non stop that are extremely interesting.
