Hey all! This is a fun idea I thought of and decided to give it a try. Instead of simply creating an "about me" or a blog that tells you all the boring happenings in my life. (to anyone who may care. ) i thought I would spice it up a bit by first giving the reality of the situation... THEN I will write my own little version of what "Jax Nova" did. First off I'll start by letting you all know about my website. (haha... advertising... *blushes*) sunrunner.zoomshare.com/ Advertising isn't really my main reason, however, I would like some tips or advice on what I can do to make this site better. I am not so great at that stuff so other opinions always help. Wasn't sure if there was a place to post that kind of stuff or not so I just stuck it in here. NOW.... my "Journal" Reality: Today has been pretty normal. I've done the farm work and worked on my writing assignment so now I am scouring the Internet for writing ideas and writing related things. Trying to get a daily schedule worked out now that things are slowing down a bit, but I still have to do some cleaning. (Yeah boring life I know but that's why the following is here) Jax Nova: It's been a damp day and cool day... typical weather inside Galen's grove this time of year. My attempts to hold back the plunderers that have been attacking have not been in vane but I fear there are too many of them. All I can do now is wait for tips from spies and search for information on the strategies of the enemy. Though, I still must clean the battlefield. The Seeker at the Chronicle building says there has been no war in these woods since Galen himself died... it looks like all that is changing.

Cool double life, Jax.
Speculative fiction is the perfect escape from the mundane. Or from any number of things, actually.
What farm work do you do? Where are you located?

It's fun to write, helps me unwind. I live on a farm in Oklahoma. Mostly we jsut do cattle so it's feeding, checking, moving, watering cows and calves. Fencing... And also the same with my goats... and the cats and dogs... and the chickens. lol Reality: *sighs* Today has been NUTS! We got up early and got our chores done so we could go to the cattle sale and buy some new calves to feed out, which took up most fo the day. We ended up getting 11 little holstine bulls, weighing in around 120-150 pounds. Since getting back I have been trying to get my website to work right... I don't understand it to great and it seems bound and determined to blunt my tasks! lol Finally got it figured out though. Jax Nova: I woke early this morning to a pleasent surprise. We finally got some new recruits to help defend the boarders of Galen's Grove. It's about time! I was the only one left in my party and I am relieved to have 11 new soldiers here to help me defend against the plunderers. Since then I have been trying to research just what it is that these plunderers think is in the Chronicle building that is so valuble... but everywhere i turn it seems like a dead end. I only know that knowledge is power... but in their case I think this knowledge will lead them to riches if they get their hands on it.

Reality: OK... *sighs* I need to get this out for mental sake. (if there is any mental sake left in my throbbing head) So... the day before yesterday one of our goats had 3 babies but unfortunately they were premature and all died. i stayed up really late trying to keep the last one alive but it was no use.... Then yesterday we thought one of our other goats (that should be having her babies) was going to have her bbbies... so since it was her first time we stayed out there with her.. all night.. in 30 degree weather... sleeping on the ground.. AND... she didn't have her babies. I got probably 30 minutes to 1 hour of sleep so I feel dead practically. lol So yeah... I'll keep checking her today and hopefully she will have them and everything will be ok. Jax Nova: It wasn't long after our recruits arrived that the bandits attacked yet again. To my dismay one of the men was killed and two others injured... both injured eventually died. It was a late and sad night. The next day more recruits were again supposed to arrive but as we waited up all night to guide them safely through the danger zone, they never showed up. We re unsure as to why, but we hold out hope that they will arrive some time today.

Hey Jax! I grew up in Oklahoma. Then I migrated to Texas. The part I live in resembles Mars, so I know that any self-respecting plunderer would do anything for a real tree!

Hey! That's cool. haha, yeah... I hear some places out that way are even more tree-less (if that's a word) than it is here. I have a cousin who lives in Ohio and he alwayswonders why we think it's so great to look out at all the greentrees and plants... so he was told "Because where we come from it's always brown, not green" lol so yeah.... it must be the pretty green trees!

Actually, it's not bad living on Mars....we get fantastic sunsets and the stars are out of this world.

Haha! Yeah, I bet the stars are something. It's amazing if you go out away from the city in the middle of a clear night... what you can see with no yardlights around. Reality: Well... I've been pretty busy working on my website, making bokmarks, and other such things. Another nanny goat and her babbies died... *cries* so yeah... that stunk. Not much else interesting has been happening soI guess I'll save the rest of mywriting for the funner version of life. Jax Nova: The injured soldiers died, and not long after another group of bandits rushed throught he crisp woods that had recently been showered with the heavy morning dew. Three more of the recruits fell in the attack, two just lads. I wish to the Creator we would have strnger men than boys to send off to war, but these are desperate times. In the midst of these troubled times, however, we have gained a help. After teh battle was over we discovered on the bandits a map! We know not where it leads yet, and we await orders from headquarters as to what our actions should be towards it.

Reality: I don't have much time... because I have been to stinking busy... but in a good way. Jax Nova: It wasn't long after our messenger left that he soon returned with news. We were to follow the map and discover what lay and the end of it's trail. What awaits us no one knows, but since that time we have been running ourselves ragged trying to plan and prepair for our travels that lay ahead. It will just be me and six other men. the five recruits and the messenger who will be comming with us. Other men will be sent to take our place watching the boarder and we will leave as soon as they arrive.

Why drop it? Even if life is boring and normal, God gave us imaginations for a reason! I like your idea of a double blog. Be encouraged! And keep it up! It's a great way to learn, too!

Yes, be encouraged. This is fun.
But also don't feel enslaved by it.
There's a reason I don't have a blog. I don't want the thing ruling me. One blog to rule them all, and all that rot. ;-)

Farms are wonderful. Too much farm land is being developed...*sigh* You're site looks good (sorry, website design nut here *grins sheepishly*). Did you do the layout yourself or did you use Webs' templates? Theirs are pretty cool. There's my randomness of the day.
