I don't know if they showed this in North America, but there was a kids' cartoon in the UK called Bananaman. Bananaman was an ordinary schoolboy with extraordinary powers. He was always saving the day. Dopey idea, but wildly popular.

Cartoons are chock full of crazy superheroes! Does anyone remember Captain Caveman? Or Grape Ape?

My son came up with one this morning when he wiped his nose across my shirt: Kleenex-Man. Every superhero runs to this one for help with the uncommon cold! Corporate sponsorship required!

Super Pastor. Oh, sorry. One of mine is moving out of the country, and I'm bummed. He can build things, clean things, play things (on instruments), play sports, snowboard, teach, pray, worship, counsel, and be a good friend, all depending on what HIS pastor and his students need. And he does it all on minimal sleep, with no set schedule, and . . . Aww, I started to ramble. Sorry. His weakness is frustration when he doesn't see the results of his labor right away.

I just picked up Captain Freedom. It's kinda like Hero, Second-Class. Very funny so far.
