Hi there, Wanted to introduce myself. My name is Matthew O'Brien. Great to be part of the collective. Jeff, you're a good man bringing us all together like this. Great things can come of it. I'm a writer, like many of you, and like many of you I am on the road to getting published. That road is a long, hard slog. We need to encourage and build each other up. I write sci-fi, historical and generally speculative christian fiction. I'm interested in pushing the speculative genre to new limits, with my own work and by the encouragement of others, and of course by God's Will. Networking is important, learning the industry is vital. I have a new blog that can be found at modlifeisrubbish.blogspot.com/I'm very social, so come find me at Facebook at www.facebook.com/profile.php and add me so we can talk fiction, Christian Speculative Fiction! God bless ya'll and thanks for the invite Jeff.

Greetings! Well met! Privyet! And Hello, hello, hello! We love it when new members join our ranks. So do the angels. Every time we get a new member, an Angel gets a new pimple. Okay, so maybe not so joyous, but all the good angelic responses were taken by Christmas, so we live with what we can get.
Myself, I'm the one and only humble Christian Soldier serving my God wherever He might have use of me. I just wish He didn't have a thing for sand and camels right now. So greetings from Balad!
Welcome, again, to the Anomaly. One piece of advice before I sign off: Do NOT ask anyone for directions. No maps.
God bless -- CS

Ha yes, Facebook doesn't allow you to just link to your profile, as far as I can tell! I would love to add anyone and everyone here. I think writers for Christ stick together!
Anyone else want to add? I post a lot of literary information (or will begin to). Also my blog deals with everything to do with the publishing world (or will begin to!)
Thanks for the warm welcome. God Bless ya'll

So glad you found your way here, Matt!
Guys, Matt wrote me the most awesome letter about feeling, well, off the edge of the map and not knowing where to turn in his writing. I told him the first thing he needed to do was get here, and he has!
Welcome, Matt! (No welcome mat jokes though [ahem].)
Jeff

That's awesome (i use that word a lot?) thank you all again.
Can't tell you how much a place like this means to us, Jeff. Wait, yes I can! It's my job as a writer! It means as much as a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean to me. Off the map is right, way off the map.
And you're all christians to boot, my word! This is too much.
Time out!

Welcome Matt! I'd add some type of witty comment here, but the coffee hasn't kicked in yet... so welcome will have to do ;P

I'm so excited to be here. I think we need a SHOUT OUT or WOO HOO section of the board for published articles, short stories or novels that the members here can announce. I'll talk to Jeff about it...Gee I hope I am not going to be a nuisance, poor Jeff's not going to get any rest!

Actually, that's part of what this part of the site is for. "Blogs, Bios, and Boring Stuff" The last part is a joke. This is the raw social component for the site. I would, however, like to see it expanded into something... more in the future. Don't forget that you have the most excellent Admins on the site. Oh, and there's myself as well for comments and suggestions. I'm just a regular Admin ^^

I'm the night shift NCO for my CP, or Command Post. All that is a fancy way to say that I supervise a soldier who listens for the radio and answers the phone. Oh, and surfs the Internet, he does that , too.
