Please be in prayer for Mrs. Weiss, the woman who I clean horse stalls for during the week. She has lung cancer and is 80 years old. A few weeks ago she finished a humongous bout of radiation and chemo treatments (she was going everyday for about 5-6 weeks, I believe). She should be at UVA hospital now, and Monday she's having major surgery to remove the tumor that's in her lung. They will have to saw through her chest bone in order to get to the lung so they can get the tumor out. Please, please pray that the surgery will go well. She'll probably be in the hospital for about 10 days after that, so please also pray for her recovery after the surgery. I really hope that they're able to get all of the cancer out...please pray for that as well. Thank you.

Lord God: creator of the cosmos, friend of sinners, salvation of the world, and Lord of my life,
I ask blessings for Mrs. Weiss, that you would heal her, guide her, and protect her. Bring back her health and vitality as never before.
I know, Lord, that this shall be done, for you are God. -- Amen

I have an update. She is doing much better She's been home for a little over a week, now, and she's improving slowly, but it's going to take a while. It turns out they did NOT have to saw through her chest bone, which is a huge praise. AND they were able to get ALL of the cancer out!!!! Please continue to pray for her recovery from the surgery, and pray, too, that the cancer never comes back.
