Wow. I've got a stress headache just thinking about your to-do list. I know about sleep problems too. Just don't get on the wrong plane. LOL
Will be praying for you and your family.

I'm just catching up with this thread, but reading it from start to finish has been an awesome testimony to how God is in the details! What a great story this is, between Sophie's surgery success and Jeff's juggling of all the travel arrangements. May the reprots ocntinue to be full of praise.

Hi, Becky. Welcome to The Anomaly!
This report is full of praise too. Sophie is doing terrific. Really smiling and even laughing now. We're definitely seeing all of her old (pre-surgery) personality back finally.
I'm just home from the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writers' Conference (where I met Becky!) and my voice is still gone. It went out on the last day and has been gone since. But I'm starting to be able to croak a bit this afternoon. I'm either getting my voice back or turning back into a frog.
Sophie and I will fly out alone to Chicago in 9 days for her post-op checkup, but we expect the docs to be very pleased.
Jeff

Thanks for the welcome, Jeff, and so glad to hear that Sophie is coming back to her "settled" personality. She's had a big past 6 months or so! I pray the trip for the follow up dr.'s appointment goes smoothly, so that you can continue to enjoy more "life as normal." I hope you don't have any teaching lined up for a bit, with the croaking, fatigued voice. I suppose it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that the old vocal chords went on strike, with 3+ days of non-stop talking and the exhaustion of all your traveling. May it return in full force soon.

Thank you. Yes, no surprise, especially since 3 days before the Philly conference I had been teaching at a conference in Oregon.
I'm pooped!

As I write this, it's March 15, 2010. One year ago today was the last day we did not have Sophie. On March 16, she was placed in our arms. What a year it's been. She's had one of her surgeries and is just thriving. Our joy. If you'd like to watch that "gotcha" moment from one year ago, you can do so at this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fwPcQxnIFUThank you for your prayers for our little girl! Jeff
