Delayed greetings, Paul! It seems that everyone new pops up while I'm offline at the moment. As you probably know, there will be a newcomer's briefing at 0900 followed by an attack of the Gnomes. They attack every morning around that time. That's why the lunch meat is always so fresh. Again: welcome to the Anomaly! Oh, and you might want to check out www.crossandcosmos.com if you get a chance. I think you'll like it. God Bless -- CS aka Glyn

Hi CS,
Thanks for the welcome. Better slate than leather, as our local roofing examiner always says. Sadly, with me being over in Europe, my clock operates in a parallel universe or something*.
In my experience, gnomes are not to be trusted. I have long believed that they plan to take over the world by disguising themselves as garden ornaments, after which they will spring a surprise attack on an unsuspecting world. Which is why I always carry a lump hammer around with me.
I've been over to crossandcosmos already and was so inspired I immediately began a short story that's been rolling around in my head for some time but which I never actually got round to pouring onto paper. Not sure it's speculative enough but I'll send it in anyway when it's finished. I couldn't find guidelines. What kind of word-length are you looking for?
Paul
*I know the gnomes have something to do with it but can't prove anything...yet.

Just look at the Submission Guidelines page, you'll find what you need there. In direct answer to your question, word length doesn't matter. If it's really long, we can always bust it into two issues.

Hi CS,
Okay, I've submitted a story I finished last year but hadn't sent out yet. It's a bit weird but I had a lot of fun writing it.
