One of the few stories where I started with a concept instead of a character or plot. Basically: Grace is scary. The story basically uses a dark circus idea and throws together an insane emperor with no past; a mute slave boy with no future; and a twenty-something born into the circus, rescued from an abusive father, and adopted by a man with a son, both of which have the ability to control reality. Or destroy it.
From there it gets a bit weird...
Edit: I actually don't know where this goes. It takes place a good thousand years from the present...but I'm not sure it really qualifies as sci-fi.
Then....I rearranged the map while I was at it...

Wow. I didn't understand all of that, but it sounds like it's got real potential. As one who regularly starts with concepts and invents characters around them, I say keep going with it. It looks really cool.

Pseudo Sci-Fi with Fantasy elements...you touched on elements of future technology, so I think it qualifies, Remmie.
