Maybe not but it sure is amazing. Greenwood's Encyclopedia of Science Fiction and Fantasy www.amazon.com/Greenwood-Encyclopedia-Science-Fiction-Fantasy/dp/0313329508/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303858101&sr=8-1-spell is divided on the basis of THEMES. How cool is that? It gives you a brief history of the use of the theme by classical writers and contemporary SF from the 50s on up. So if you were looking for other books that have played with the "Domed City" theme, then under cities you would find a bibliographical history of that subject from the earliest pulp writings to the present. Its rare that I can curl up with reference book but this thing gives me all sorts of tingles. ;D Its got a nice forward by Neil Gaiman too. I got mine from the library because there is little chance I'll buy it given the price.
