You're writing along, adding something because a book requires words and, therefore, you add words. Half way through the scene, you realize it is exactly what your story needed to tie up several points or emphasize a characteristic or just further the plot. But, at the time, you just thought your main character needed a new watch.
I know it's a God thing (it certainly isn't me!) but is it a super-God thing, or just a normal writing thing? 'Cus it happens to me with disturbing frequency.

I think it has something to do with your talent, too. And yes, that's a God-given thing, so it all points back to Him. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Well, like Dutchess said I think it has something to do with your talent as well... however since God gave you that talent... ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) then yeah, it's a God thing also! I've had that happen to me.... and hoenstly half the time I don't know egsactily where my story is going until I get there. (which isn't egsactily a good thing) But... I think as long as writing is trully what He wants you to be doing and if you are trying to write how He wants... then He is going to give you moments like those. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I never know where my story is going, 40k words and I still don't. Adding in those little pieces is what really brings it all together almost all the time, it is providence, that's for sure.
