Hi I just joined this board today, but I've been lurking for a while. Anyway, I was wondering if there were any rules for posting a story in this forum.
Like does it have to be a short story or novel? PDF or straight up text?

Hi, Andrew; good question.
Please include only text into forum messages. Do not upload files of any kind (.pdf, .jpg, .mp3, etc.).
There's a limit to how long your post can be. The software used in the ProBoards technology sets that limit. I don't know exactly what it is, but it's probably around 1,500-2,500 words. If you hit that limit, just call the first chunk of your story part 1, then create other messages for parts 2 and so on until you've included your whole story.
But let's limit this to short stories, not full novels. Let's put an upper end cap of ~15,000 words on any given story. If you have a longer story, try to post it online and then include the link in a post here. Or you could list your e-mail address and invite people to contact you directly for the full thing.
Here are the guidelines I'd posted for the collaborative fiction project (they still hold true for us now):
First, this is a Christian area. Anyone is welcome to contribute, but you should know that most of the folks here are unabashedly Christian and evangelical. As such, the stories here will be inherently Christian. If your views are anti-Christian, you may be more comfortable on another forum. And I reserve the right to ban someone who is posting inappropriate content or harassing members.
Second, this is not one of those forums where everyone comes to flame everyone else. There's no room here for flamers, forum Nazis, or people who feel they must put others down to feel good about themselves. This is a place for mutual support, encouragement, love, and good clean fun.
Speaking of good clean fun, let's keep our posts and our fiction free of profanity, lewd or suggestive content, or anything else that might offend or be inappropriate for young readers, some of whom may be reading and contributing to the forums.
If you see posts or threads with this kind of content, please let me know by sending e-mail to suggestions@wherethemapends.com.
Please do not upload images, documents, MP3 files, or electronic files of any kind to this board. If you want us to see something, include the link.
I'd also like to keep our profiles/identities free of lengthy or graphical signatures. I dislike going to forums in which half of every post is the user's garish graphic in his signature. Let's keep it steamlined and clean, please.
Thanks for asking this, Andrew. I should've included these earlier.
Jeff
