doubleedgedpublishing.com/TeenAge/guidelines.phpHey...I'm Tales391 and I'm a teen editor over at TeenAge Magazine and we need more submissions. Y/A is a tough crowd because there's a lot of things teens could be doing besides reading your story. Here's some hints to writing for my crew: Get to the action right away. If you've been following the acquisition contest, I think Neil Before God does this very well. (If you are that author, hey send us something!) Create a question that you need answered...like in The Mysterious Calling of Mike Malone. What's watching this guy? (Same invitation extended to that author. Same to the writer of The Poison Within I'd PM you guys, but I don't know whose name goes with which story). We don't mind fantasy, but just don't make it sound like a Tolkein rip-off. You're writing for Teens who love God with all their hearts, but also for guys who don't care about a thing. How would you draw them in? In Y/A, don't take the easy way out and you'll end up with a good story. I hope we hear from you.

Hey, tales! Thanks for the link. I looked through the guidelines -- may have a couple of questions when I reread them, but it looks pretty straightforward. I want to also read some of what's already been published there. Very nice site! Easy to navigate and very appealing format.

And now, tales, the questions...
Is there a word count limit for stories? or a preference? Do you consider fantasy stories from POV's that aren't human or ones that are in unusual voices? Also, do you consider fantasy humor?
For poetry, is there a line count limit?
I saw that TeenAge considers reprints. If an early or slightly different version of a story was posted on a blog or a site like the Anomaly (taken down from the site, too), is the new/revised version considered published? Do I submit it as a reprint or is it considered unpublished since it's not exactly the story that was posted?

I may be able to answer at least one of those questions, metalikhan, as I know a bit of how DEP works. *No word count preference other than if it's over 9k it needs to be especially good. *Same thing with poetry. The DEP mags aren't limited in their count as they are an online mag and can print a 50k stry for the same price as a 5k one. *The reprint question I would ask them. It may not be an issue but I can't say for sure. I would suggest going to the site and PMing one of the editors through the forum there. Hope this helped. Good luck with the subs!!!
