I'm suddenly faced with something that I've never had to face, and I'm a little unsure how to respond. (I did take all my links off my profile so as to not be considered campainging for my book with this post.)
Due to the contest, my family and I have been doing a little PR for the first time for my book. The response has been overwhelming. My fan base on my Facebook page has doubled in almost a week, and I have fans from 13 states and 7 countries. All this just from the idea of the book, because only a handfull have even read it! So now I've got all these people asking for the book and for more information, and my blog is getting over 50 hits a day. The snowball doesn't seem to be stopping!
I feel somewhat out of control, and I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

I've had about 20 beta readers, and their the ones fueling this snowball.

A former pastor of mine said "you HAVE to get that book published." As if I could add it to my list of errands: buy groceries, mail package, publish book ...

Welcome to the crazy world of being a writer. For the past couple of years my FF has been read in well over twenty countries, I quite counting a while back, and my profile page gets an average of 10-20 hits a day.
I also have several writer friends who are waiting for my first book to come out and I’m not really sure what is going to happen when it does.
However, popularity doesn’t always get the book published. I’ve been working for about two years to get ‘Winter Awakening’ in print, even though I already know I have an audience for it, thanks to the readings at conventions and feedback from various readers.
Patience. Take a deep breath. Trust me, the elation will fade.
