Here's what I posted on Facebook a little while ago about my recent experiences with a used car that ended quite abruptly today:
"A few days ago I put a downpayment for a used 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I had test driven it and taken it to my mechanic who told me to have them fix two things before purchasing it which they did. Once I had it other problems showed up and they fixed a couple and I had an appointment this Tuesday to get the other things fixed. Today I was driving to Wal-Mart with my boy and the rear left wheel flew off. A police officer helped me get a tow truck since I didn't know who to call and I had it towed to the dealership and I got my money back. They paid for the tow. I just came home from the hospital with an injured neck, shoulders and back. No problems with the bones, it's a muscle thing the doctor said. He feels confidant I'll get better but warned me to be prepared for more pain in the next couple of days before it starts to subside. I feel it even now as I type. It's very uncomfortable. Time to write a letter to the editor of the local paper I think as well as seek legal help. This is absolutely ridiculous!"
So please keep me in prayer. Thanks.

So sorry to hear about your troubles, dizzy. I guess it's pretty common for muscle injuries to hurt more the next day before they start to heal, but I'll pray that your recovery is swift and that you are able to get things straightened out with the dealership without too much hullabaloo. I hope you feel better soon!

Oh no! Ridiculous, indeed. Thinking of you.

Praise God that what happened was no worse. Prayers away for a speedy recovery, dizzyjam, and a resolution to the car issue.

I pray you heal soon (and I agree with the rest that God deserves praises that it wasn't much worse).
I also pray legal action isn't necessary, and the dealership covers your medical bills. No need to add a legal headache with your already banged up body.

How terrifying, especially with your son in the car. Wheels are not supposed to fly off!

I'm glad you guys are ok. I believe in guardian angels. Maybe you should talk to a lawyer, before you commit the details to public record in the news paper.

I keep telling Jamie that I'm going to drive my car 'till the wheels fall off, but goodness! Prayers away!

Thanks everybody! And thanks miquan, I still haven't written that Letter for the Editor yet, so perhaps I shall talk with a lawyer first. And journeyman, D.J.'s doing just fine as far as I can tell. In time, I will probably know more, but he's a kid, and most kids are pretty resilient, but I sure wish they didn't have to go through the things they go through. It can shape 'em into pretty nasty adults sometimes. Anyway, today I got another vehicle from a different dealership, and funny thing is that it's almost the same exact vehicle. The main difference is that it's two-wheel instead of four. I like this one better. It's cleaner for one thing, and feels a heck of a lot sturdier than the other one ever felt. And the cruise control works on this one where it didn't on the other one. Radio too.
