You provide the rest! My dad has begun a photo blog at silhoulette.blogspot.com/. I asked if he would mind if I used some of his photos as writing prompts. He graciously agreed and even opened it up to my writing buddies, of which everyone here is a part. Take a look and if anything inspires a paragraph (or more, within the Anomaly's posting rules), post it here (and/or as a comment on the image itself)! IMO, the latest one is ripe for a thriller.

That's cool, myrthman. I have a book called The Writer's Block (which is literally shaped like a block) that has something like that. There are pictures paired with a word called a "spark word" and nothing else, and that's supposed to be used to write something. It's a cool idea. A picture's worth a thousand words, as the saying goes.

I am honored to participate with this group, especially for "spark words." If you find inspiration with any of my photos, please do leave a comment on the blog, so that I will know that you were there. BTW, one photo has been desparately seeking answers. Perhaps, you can help. See "Contemplation" at silhoulette.blogspot.com/2010/04/contemplation.html I look forward to your responses.

Hi Myrthman,
I went and had a look. Being a visual person, I find pictures, even seemingly mundane ones inspiring ideas. There was one on the site which struck me which was the one labelled 'Dawn'. It showed an orange sky with clouds and a tranquil sea.
It immediately brought to mind an idea of a water world circling a dying red giant star. I have in mind a couple of stories for it but perhaps my take on it will perhaps inspire others to similar thoughts or to more wilder musings.
Thanks for the suggestion...I'll look through my photo collection again - I should be inspired to yet more stories.
