Last Saturday my cousin, Kim, was attacked by a dog. Tore up her hand pretty bad. The doctors suspect nerve damage at the least. Yesterday she ended up in the hospital due to severe swelling and pain. They're going to keep her for a day or two, and perhaps do some exploratory surgery.
She could really use some healing prayer.
Thanks, all.

Oh, how awful. I pray the doctors will be able to give her some relief, and hopefully get that hand restored to good function.
Have you heard what the situation is with the dog that did the attacking?

For many people, being bitten is a trauma that involves more than just the physical wound. Praying for your cousin, not only for healing of her hand but also for emotional healing.

Thank you for your prayers!
She had surgery yesterday morning. Turns out one of the nerves was pierced and not severed. There was also an infection that they had to clean out. It'll take awhile, because nerves take a long time to heal, but she should make a complete recovery.
As for the dog, it had never bit anyone before. She was merely petting it on the head at the time.

Ye-ouch.
I'm glad the prognosis is good.
Something's up with that dog. Hopefully not something serious/contagious.

By law the dog has to be checked by a vet for any disease/infection. It checked out fine. However, if the dog bites someone else, it'll have to be put down.

I'm glad there was no disease or infection.
For the sake of the pooch and everyone around it, I hope that was the first, last, and only time it nails someone.
