Not for me this time.
Please pray for my Son-in-Law's father (my best man at my wedding 39 years ago). He was in Maine on vacation with his extended family and suffered a major stroke this afternoon.
He being taken by ambulance to Brigham and Womens hospital in Boston for brain surgery tonight (it's 9:00 PM here) so it must be quite serious.
Please pray for him and for the surgical team that is operating on him. His immediate family will be crashing at our house after the operation sometime tonight. All the son and daughter-in-laws with the grandkids are staying in Maine for tonight. (That includes my daughter). Thank you

Praying for the Lord's intervention on your friend's behalf, whether through the hands of doctors or his own, more inexplicable healing.

Thank you all for your prayers. John is a pillar in his church for the last 40 years. For his work he has a Christian wilderness therapy program for teens and young people at risk. He and his team have been instrumental in turning many young people away from the path of self destruction, so he is in the devil's cross hairs. It appears that the years of high pressure and stress have taken their physical toll
The doctors weren't able to do the surgery last night. They wanted to do a catheterization and inject clot busting drugs rignt at the site of the clot in his brain, but the CT scan showed that both of his carotid arteries were too obstructed to get the catheter up into his brain.
They have him stabalized and are working to come up with a treatment strategy. He is awake and aware and very frustrated that he can't talk. He says a word of two then stalls.
I know God is able from my own experiences.
Please continue to pray.
thank you all

I'm glad they have him stabilized, but it is mighty irritating when your brain won't let you do what you want to do.
Sounds like he'll be up for some major changes in the way he does things.
God be with you all.

Thank you all for your prayers.
John was taken to a special Stroke recovery hospital in Albany this past Thursday. His innactivity has caused a new clot in his left leg (DVT) but the doctors are on it.
They have hope that he will continue to improve and get back to "normal" living eventually, but currently he's limited to about six words. His DVT is keeping him from exercising until they get it cleared up with drugs.
He's very frustrated. It's clear that unless the Lord undertakes with a miracle he won't be able to resume the very active outdoor lifestyle that he has been leading and that his income is based upon (he's self employed as the director and owner of the wilderness therapy center).
If you think of it please hold him and his family up in prayer.
Thank you all.
Blessings on you.

Wow. IIRC, the treatments for stroke preclude what would normally be done for DVT. O.o
More prayers for your friend and his family.
