Greetings, everyone! I made a new Facebook fan page for my work-in-progress, The Adventures of Adrian Barrow: www.facebook.com/pages/The-Adventures-of-Adrian-Barrow/112777502166715 Adrian Barrow may have been a reluctant recruit when he fled his native England, but he came to call the German battlefields of the Thirty Years' War home. When he encounters Death in a siege trench and a powerful enemy from his past in a secluded German castle, Barrow finds himself thrust into an ancient struggle in a mythical Other World where an antediluvian people struggle to survive against werewolves and warrior giants not seen since before the days of Noah. With a orphaned peasant girl thrust into his care and the fate of an entire people at stake, the mercenary must confront his past and choose between the profitable path or giving all.

Sounds interesting. It was the angle I kept expecting the Myst books to take, what with the D'ni in that underground city and the books to other worlds.
