I was encouraged to explore this forum - and here I am! My name is Michael and I'm a newly published author. My book is called: Shadows: Book of Aleth, Part One. Though I'm not a author with MLP I hope to find friends and good company here. If you want to find me (or my book) you can at my website: www.michael-duncan.net. It's not easy finding places where other fantasy writers hang out, but now that I'm here, I hope the natives are friendly! ;D

I'm glad you found us, sir. Your book appears to be a solid story in the high fantasy tradition; I really like the blurb and the cover art, and the Amazon reviews sound promising. Congratulations on completing and publishing it.

Grats on your book! The story blurb sounds like a lot of fun, and I'll sit here and read the first chapter in a bit. Welcome to the forum! I'm new, too, and everybody is very nice.

Hadn't heard of the publisher, but they put out a great-looking book. Glad to have you here!

Hi, and welcome!
The natives here are crazy (speaking for myself at least...) but you won't find a friendlier bunch.

Hello, Michaelduncan. Yoda47 is right. The natives are crazy, but kindly. Make yourself at home and enjoy the company.

Hey Michael, Welcome;
High five on already getting pub'd, many of us are still trying.
Welcome home.
Oh, and if you see any gnomes, as in garden gnomes... well just act natural and hope they go away. We haven't had any attacks in a long time so hope for the best.
(Psst...did anyone warn him about the gnomes yet?)

Welcome to our ranks! We have a lot of fun here brainstorming, bragging, praying for one another, giving support, and just being geeks.

Welcome to the fold, Michael, and congratulation on your new publication! It does look great. May you be blessed with great success and reach a wide audience. And as for he gnomes, they have been much quieter since the treaty, but I don't know if we can keep such a mountainous supply of cranberry oatmeal cookies flowing to them for much longer. I'd keep an eye out if I were you. Glad you found us, and sorry for my slow response. Life has been like that for a bit in my corner.
