Greetings: Someone on another web group I belong to ( LinkedIn: Christian Authors Guild) mentioned "Where the map ends" and it lead me to this forum. I'm looking forward to exploring it more; I believe I may find a home here. God's peace... Edward in Tampa www.smashwords.com/profile/view/EdwardMaurer

Welcome aboard! You have some very interesting titles. The Prodigal Planet, in particular, intrigues me. :-)

"Christian Speculative Fiction"...so that's what we call the genre I've been attempting to write. I have these stories in me that all seem to involve some aspect of my Christian faith; as a believer, this makes perfect sense as a life in Christ is 24/7.
Thank you all for the welcoming.

Welcome Edward; Pull up one of the hoverchairs (just not the blue one over there, the last time somebody sat on it it dumped them on the floor) and grab a coffee or something. Join the gang around the table and let the fictional speculations roll. We're an unusual bunch; but we're all as happy as if we had good sense . The ABA doesn't think so, but... well... they're as entitled to be wrong as the next guy. All the usual stuff for Sf writer hangouts: Watch out for black holes in the ceiling and please, do not under any circumstances jump or fall into any unlabeled transdimensional portals. We had a collaborative story get sucked down a Trans-D portal last year and it spent the rest of its short life bouncing from one random dimension to another without ever advancing the plot. (It was very sad.) Expect odd creatures to be wandering around at all hours of the night (we're just looking for coffee, once we find some we'll go back to our keyboards peacefully ;D ) and try not to get the Frumious Bandersnatch agitated. Well, I won't tell you what happened the last time, but it wasn't nice. But seriously, Welcome, well met my brother. (and don't mind that big white rabbit who bumped you just inside of the mirror ... Ah, door you came in through. He's harmless.) SGD dave
