As I mentioned in another thread, my husband was laid off from his job.
And now, a prayer request for my mom.
She lives with my middle sister, Tammy, and has had a number of very serious health problems in the last few months. And she's just been diagnosed with with cancer of the chest cavity and back. My sis will be taking her across state to a cancer specialty hospital.
So, please pray for our mom -- her name is Claudine -- and for my sister as she drives her that long distance.
From the lips of every prayer warrior here to God's ear.

Thank you, birdnerd.
It was a bit of a surprise (shock) because my mom had told me she had a knot on her back that had to be removed because it had some cancer cells. A day later (today), I saw my sister's post on FB that mom had it in her chest cavity and back -- quite a bit more than what mom mentioned. I haven't heard anything more -- no one's answering the phone --so I have to assume they're en route now. Waiting is never easy.

An update: The cancer hospital wasn't satisfied with the tests that had been run by the hospital where mom was diagnosed with cancer so the tests were re-run. The upshot is that she has a rare form of rapidly growing tumor but it is not cancerous. (Sheesh -- anything rare, my mom would be the one to have it.) The tumor is large enough to interfere with her shoulderblade and she can't lower her arm completely to her side. It also sunk "fingers" into her chest cavity between her ribs. So, she has some major surgery to face, but she won't have to go through radiation or chemotherapy afterward. Please keep her in your prayers as she faces surgery to remove this growth. And thank you all for your prayers -- the cancer aspect is no longer a consideration. Praise God!

Just found the thread. Will be praying for you...your sis and your mom for God's grace, strength, mercy and peace. As well as financial support and help in taking care of the everyday mundane things that can be overwhelming right now for both you and your sis.

Wow -- non-cancer is good, but sounds like it's still a rough road to go. Praying for peace and healing…

I have to agree on the "thank goodness it's not cancerous" sentiment. But any major surgery is hard in terms of recovery time, so I pray the doctors will handle the situation deftly and your mom will be on the mend quickly.
