Hi, all. I just found THE ANOMALY. It's great to be here. I love Mil SF...and the Bible. Now, that's a bit of an odd mix for a lot of people in the church (you probably understand what I mean). I grew up as a PK, reading SF of all sorts (Ender's Game, Dune, etc.) and star gazing, while most of my peers could have cared less. Thankfully, my father was an SF fan too and encouraged my interest in Sol and beyond. Then , I went into publishing, into field sales, and have stayed ever since, first with a small religious publisher and then with Randomhouse, and then Penguin, and now PRH:) But Mil SF is in my blood. When my brother-in-law challenged me to join NaNoWriMo, I got serious and put keys to screen. The result is Lieutenant Promise Paen. UNBREAKABLE, the first in the Chronicles of Promise Paen, releases from Tor Books in the fall of next year. No ISBN yet, but you can find me at www.wcbauers.com (and on Twitter and FB too). My hope is to entertain, inspire, and cause people to look up and think, "Surely all of that wasn't just made for me." Author Jack McDevitt is a master at this. Blessings to all. I'll update as time goes by. W. C.

Welcome W. C.! And congrats on the book deal!
I like watching Sci-fi, does that count? Ha! Actually my preferred reading is epic fantasy, but I have read a few sci-fi. My favorite being Chris Walley's The Lamb Among the Stars, and I don't know if you'd count Arena by Karen Hancock has sci-fi, but it was good. :-)

oh my! How could I forget Bid the Gods Arise? Although that one is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy, I probably put that in the fantasy category. Forgive me Robert!

Welcome and good job! (Tor, no less.) You might like the military series a friend of mine is working on. He's a military brat, so military sci-fi came naturally to him.

Maybe this is unfair of me to faun over celebrity publishers, but I'm really excited to see Tor visit the Anomaly! I pretty much grew up drooling over the fantasy hardcovers on the library's bookshelf, many of which were published by Tor. When Unbreakable becomes released, I hope it gets promoted thoroughly among the CSF community.
