During my quiet time in prayer last night, I felt moved to pray for you, my fellow Anomalians. Not only in last night's prayers, but every day for the remainder of this Lenten season
So, whether you've posted a prayer request or remained silent about trials, heartaches, illness -- any major or minor stuggle in your life -- I'm praying for each of you by the name I know you as here. And my most fervent prayer is for His arms to lovingly wrap around each one as His light shines on you and in you in the midst of whatever darkness you're facing, so that we all may celebrate our Savior's resurrection with thanksgiving and joy for His victory for each of us this Easter.
Blessings to each of you, my brothers and sisters.

I tried to observe Lent this year. I gave up reading and commenting on blogs. I kept the letter of my original resolution, although I still ended up using the web to fill my emptiness, sometimes in sinful ways, more than I had hoped I would after giving up blogs. Life is simply dark in general, and I'm not quite sure that I think it's worth living.

Paul, life is absolutely worth living. It is hard — wicked hard, as the Bostonians say — but our Lord has placed us here as his ambassadors. He warned us we would face trials, but 1. he has overcome the world and 2. he is with us always. Take heart. Be strong and courageous. He has called you here to a purpose. If you can discern that purpose and pour yourself into it, you will find the trials much easier to bear.
By the way, I found SHAPE by Eric Rees and Release Your Brilliance by Simon Bailey to be much better tools for discovering my purpose than Purpose-Driven Life. E-mail me or look me up on Facebook if you want to discuss this further. kristen@kristenstieffel.com.
We're here for you. Don't let the fallen world crush your hope. Don't listen to the dark voices that try to pull you down. Depression lies, and you know who is the father of lies. Listen for the voice of the One who only wants to lift you up.
Glynda, thanks for your prayers. I do have troubles about which I remain silent so as not to violate other people's privacy. Thank you for answering the call to prayer.
