Okay, female SF character coming up.
Shauri Ka' - figurehead/window dressing whose ornamental job for the SF is to make contact with the Fantasy world and convince these barbarians to let the SF forces come and take what they need. She's been lied to and carefully fed misinformation so that she comes across as believable.
By nature, she's sincere, optimistic, and a bit of an extravert. A pale, petite woman in her late 20's, her natural charm puts almost everyone at ease with her. She's a lover, not a fighter, so when she discovers not only what's really going on but also the potential for wicked she's been helping perpetuate, she's slow to recover. Even when she does begin to work for the good side, she still tends to react based on emotion and shock than on a preplanned course of action.
Despite this, remember that she's not a nurturer. She chose a career rather than a home and family. As an only child and the result of a wealthy, sheltered upbringing, she has almost no exposure to children and little interest. This, of course, is subject to change as the story continues (especially if she encounters Aoni and her small sprout).
