A couple weeks ago I asked for prayer for an unspecified decision that my husband and I were praying about. Well, I believe we've reached the point where we need to be more specific. We have been invited, and I fully believe we're going to accept, to go to India next year and teach. He would teach Bible and I would teach English. This would be with the group I worked with back in 2006 when I was there for two weeks. This would be for a FULL YEAR!! There are many, many, many ad infinitum details that have to be planned, prepared for, hashed out. There is a piece of property in NM to sell; money to raise; visas; passports; shots ; a dog to house; a house here to take care of; so many things the list just keeps growing. We need lots of prayer as we enter this next several months of planning and preparation. We will likely leave next spring, but even that is still yet to be determined. Please pray for both of us as we enter this phase of preparation that when God brings it all together and we get there we will be fully ready (I know, not possible) for whatever He asks of us while we're there. This is an amazing opportunity for us and your prayers are much needed and much appreciated. BLATANT ADVERTISING WARNING!!! For the full story on this group, read the book "Caste Aside" which will be available to order from your favorite bookstore on July 22.

That's amazing, Robi! Our old church in Alabama is invested in India--my son's God-mother just got back from a trip there.
I don't know what region you'll be in, but our old pastor is starting an organization meant to keep various ministries in India connected.

Nagpur, Maharashtra; right in the geographic center, the heart, of the country. Tell them about my book. They will be interested if they have a heart for the Hindi people. And the book is a fund raiser of sorts; all the royalties go to the orphanage and training center.

It looks like even more changes are on the way. We are in the process of discussions on whether to sell our house now. For one, with only one income, the mortgage is just too much for us to deal with. God has been good and had provided up to now, but now we think maybe He's saying let it go. Besides, if we do go off to India, we don't want to leave an empty house, and we don't want to leave it with a property management company while we're halfway around the world. So, this could very well be the first step in getting us ready to go next year.
Don't know where we'll live if we do sell it, but we're looking at our options. Our only concern is that we make enough to pay off the mortgage and have a couple bucks left over. We don't need to make a killing, and in this market that's probably not even possible, but we do need to clear the loan.
Pray that God gives us peace about all this and opens all the doors that need to be opened and close the ones that need to be closed.
Thanks for all your prayers. Ya'll are great.
Robi
