Would ya'll please pray for my Daddy? He's going to be 80 in March, and right now his doctor is concerned about his heart; something about "tolerances". Mom doesn't really know what they're looking for but she has to monitor his heart rate and blood pressure daily. He goes back to the doctor on the 15th. He's weak, slower than normal and sleeps a lot more than Mom is comfortable with.
Several years ago he had a quintuple (yes 5) bypass, but he's been doing really well up until just a few months ago.
He's always been so active and alive that this has us all a little concerned. Anyway, I know that ya'll are faithful to pray and I'm just asking for a little help.
Thanks.
Robi

After months of tests and "we don't know what we're looking for", this last batch of tests showed that Daddy's lower heart muscles weren't "quite right". He goes into the hospital on Dec 2 for a heart catheter. It's supposed to be outpatient, but Mom says they're prepared for an overnighter if they find they have to put in a stint as well. Please continue to pray. Thanks for all your prayers so far.

Daddy had his surgery yesterday and thankfully, nothing more than the catheter was needed. Mom had him back home yesterday afternoon and he was resting comfortably. Mom said they found some beginnings of heart disease, but felt the catheter was going to take care of any issues. He should be up and around again soon. Thanks for all the prayers. I really appreciate it.

Just wondering how your dad is doing, rwley. I'm keeping him and your family on my long term prayer list.

He's doing fine, thanks. Before Daddy had his first heart attack, he had been a devout walker. He walked miles every day. Well since the first attack, his walking has diminished to almost zero. As with any muscle, no exercise, it gets weak. So, the doctor has him walking again. My sister and her husband gave him a new treadmill for Christmas and he's on that every day now. They think that if he can get his walking level back to where it was before the heart attack, all the other little "problems" that were showing up will disappear. If he improves enough, he's going to China in August with my mother. The doctor really thinks this is all the treatment he needs now. Hopes are high! God is good.
