It's so delightful to find a place where fellow Christians enjoy stepping off the map! I salute you adventurers!
As a brief introduction, I've been a follower of Christ for a few decades, I'm a Jane-of-many-trades, married to my best friend who is currently snoring even though the dogs are whining and tap dancing in their kennels while the cat is playing dead mouse soccer in the next room, and I'm 3 years old in my second half-century. Right now I work in a vet clinic and have the worst case of puppy/kitty fever ever. Alas, this town has a three pet limit.
I've also worked in electronics and machining. I was the only female working in the factory at one shop, hence the name although this one was better than Doll, Sweetie and the Psycho Tool Lady. The one who nicknamed me said I reminded him of Mother Theresa, Red Skelton and Attilla the Hun. After the first year there, I think a lot of them believed I got kicked off a short UFO.
I enjoy reading (no surprise), writing (less than no surprise), drawing, and a variety of crafts such as fiber arts, making beeswax candles, beading, leatherwork, carving, and of course metalwork. Other than an occasional movie, I don't watch tv. Writing is the most ferocious itch I have in my brain, so even though I told myself to take a break -- well, it's just not happening. Not much published aside from some poetry.
The tap dancing is getting louder so I'd better stop the cat's soccer game.
Looking forward to hanging out here!
