I've got to tell y'all what the queen of Christian fantasy, Donita Paul, said about my fiction. When she and I met for dessert a few weeks ago, I gave her sci-fi-fan-son a copy of Flashpoint. She wrote me on Shoutlife.com to say she swiped it to read! I know, right? I arrived home from work to find the following on my Amazon page! Christian Science Fiction at its Best, November 13, 2008 By Donita K. Paul (www.dragonkeeper.us) - See all my reviews I recommend this book. Not often does an author integrate Scripture into fiction in a way that does not belittle the Word of God or damage the fictive dream presented in the story. Frank Creed has created a world in which the reader can believe that the power of the Word is used by these fascinating and believable characters. The demonstration of faith is natural not contrived. Young believers, reading this futuristic tale, will witness Christians in action against foes that represent real opposition present in our world today. *BACKFLIPS ON THE BED* First Favre and the Jets land in the AFC's second place, now this!

Yes! Good reviews are awesome, especially for your work Frank. Speaking of which, I should probably wrote something to have reviewed...

Oh, you're a Jets fan, huh, Frank?
I'm originally from Wisconsin, so my husband and I are big Packers fans. My husband says his blood runs green and gold.
We miss Favre.

Favre is pretty. He needs a job that doesn't require a face mask.
(Did I just write that out loud?)

Well, if he follows the pattern of many notable ex-NFL players (when he becomes an ex-player, of course) he'll buy up a couple of car dealerships in his home city and do pathetic local commercials.

Or report for ESPN. But then I wouldn't see him. He did fine in "There's Something About Mary." He should look into more movies. But without Ben Stiller.

The league's most-consecutive-start's recordholder, the guy voted Ironman of the Century in a periodical, has titanium bones or sumpin. Methinks Favre could be a goalie without a face-mask and he'd be fine. I became a Cheesehead at ten-years old. How the Green Bay front office treated Favre in the off-season turned me into a Jets fan until we get some new leadership. Grr. Faith, f

How the Green Bay front office treated Favre in the off-season turned me into a Jets fan until we get some new leadership. By "off-season," do you mean every year or just that final year, after he retired? My husband followed the Favre saga very closely. He said he couldn't totally blame the Packers' PTBs. When Favre said he was going to retire, they asked him over and over again if he was sure, and he always said yes. The PTBs then made all kinds of promises to Aaron Rogers, who took Favre's place. When Favre made a U-turn and wanted to come back, they couldn't go back on their promises to Aaron. If they didn't have anyone in place yet, I'm sure they would have taken Favre back in a heartbeat.

Just in 2008.
I'd feel for Rogers if the lad had to ride the pine for a year, but the NFL is all business. Many great athletes have struggled with retirement. The moment that really got me was when he and Deanna flew to Green Bay for pre-season training camp. Favre had no idea that they'd order security to keep him away from the team. A few days later, footage of a crushed man boarding his flight back to Mississippi played on NFL.com After all the passion & hope he'd given us, my blood pressure literally spiked that day. The ultimate decision to put anyone other than Favre under center was questionable--he'd just taken a team of rookies to the NFC title game. I've never seen that. I'm rambling now, sorry! No more NFL comments, I promise.
