Something I think would be fascinating and a bit ironic: (bear with me here)
I had an idea that the technology of the scifi world could be used to the fantasy world's advantage in a pretty strange catalyst.
As in, maybe the fantasy world gets ahold of plans or actual makes of space-type fighters (as in David Weber's shrikes or SW's x-wings or Battlestar G's fighters). Or, even stranger, maybe they have some weird organic-type fighter of their own that only needed the jumpstart of scifi tech. (This might enter that scifi tech genius here)
ANYHOW, I was thinking that those among the fantasy world, those who were more in-tune to the magic end of things would be instant aces at these fighters, and somewhere in Act 2-3 they would take these fighters either up in space to make a very surprise attack on the the scifi enemies or (depending on what type of world we go with) over the scifi world's main structures.
If it's a space battle, it'd definately cripple and set back the scifi crowd (or perhaps be the catalyst to a long showdown).
If it's a planetary battle, it might be the second disaster, perhaps destroying something vital to the magic in their own world. (or, conversely, making the magic that much stronger.)
In either case, though, maybe it comes at a severe price, a destruction or corruption of the magic, or maybe a severe draining of it. (That would only work, though, if this was at the showdown.)
I just like the idea, though, of something like organic-medieval hyper-pilots!
